New POLL!

Hi everyone!

I created this poll to know what do you guys thinks of my comics? Are you happy?

Me? Well, I like making comics, more the merrier. But I need to know what you would like me to focus. Please mind, we can't have all. One choice deprives another.

So, choose what matters to you!

And if you want to add another choice for the poll, tell me!

And DON'T FORGET!!

I have two sites now:
REDDYPORTAL.com and REDDYPICS.com

  1. I believe a critical option that you need to add in your poll is the quality of the comic. Basically making a comic faster might have a drop in quality rather than devoting a little more time and effort for it. An idea would be something like that:

    Faster releases-medium quality
Slower releases-good quality-slightly more pages etc...

Off course if the quality remains the same no matter the time devoted the above mentions don't really matter :P

In any case people will always want the best which in this case involves faster releases along with good quality and more pages so it kind of ends up in the "That's your problem" poll tag. In my opinion you should do an internal research on your studio and see what you can offer as best option and then check what fans desire more. After that you can find a middle ground to settle.

  2. Thank you for the response!
Your point is perfect! I am talking about exactly that. The quality is the level of details, colors, effects, tones, etc.

In theory, I am looking for a balance in quality(colors), time(faster release) and quantity(more pages). Me, Reddy, i think i need to priorize the releases, release more comics, I have too many open projects:

    -Fanatixxx
-Kartoon warz(I have three chapters written)
    -G-weapon(I have to reboot it)
    -Wasted lands
    -Hard cookie
    -Lizard orbs(it's not over yet)

And I have many more waiting in the line to become "alive". I like to make comics but I need to know what you guys likes to read, because i need you to keep drawing. And nothing is more just than shape my decisions based in the readers's wishes.

The last option is for the people who're satisfied, or, don't care. And they are important too, it means they like the theme and it will continue to read what they find interesting. And it will my job to make the comics more and more appealing. Or, they are trolls...

  3. There are many kind of "work rotations" that you can try but doing it alone will eat most of your time and by the time you get the results you want it might be late and maybe will give you less "profit" than what you desired. A cooperation with another artist here could help you solve most of the time/release problems as well as to help you make better decisions on some matters. But that's just my point of view. What i can say for sure is that going solo isn't always a good solution.

    1. It's a solid point. But in the moment, flying solo is more a necessity than choice: the profit from my comics compared with the cost of keeping the store is low. The server fees, payment gateways plans, bank wiring taxes, everything are increasing in a faster rate these days.

I am not complaining, the money gives me the possiblity of upgrading my computer and it's maintenance(and some games, movie nights and books).

Hiring a partner is quite a responsability, i have to pay him whatever happens. Sometimes I can afford this. Most of the time, don't. I am pretty bad in handling money, numbers, documents, fees, I just want to make comics after all.

But, of course, more money would make my life easier! This way I could work with more people without worrying about if the comic would sell or not.
